Why I built it
The first version asked too much of me, and I stopped using it. I wanted to see whether I was doing the things I said I would, without making tracking them another task to keep up with.
What it does
Life Tracker brings together delivery receipts, rides, calendar events, and quick manual check-ins. I set my own weekly targets and can see both what I did and what the week cost. The app uses information already in my email and calendar where it can. The things it cannot pick up get a quick check-in. A weekly reflection helps me look back at the pattern, without streaks or points to maintain.
What I built
A Python app with scheduled Gmail, Calendar, and bank imports, a phone-friendly web interface, and an AI layer for classifying ambiguous events and writing reflections. My corrections are kept separately from the original classifications, so an automated sync does not simply replace what I fixed. Confirmed examples also help the calendar classifier make better calls next time.
A week I can look back on.
The events and the spending stay together.
More than a list of charges.
Days are grouped by what happened: a social plan, a delivery, a ride. Seeing the costs beside those events makes it easier to understand the shape of the week.
